Queenboro Depot, formerly Steinway Transit, is an MTA Bus Division Depot located on 102 53rd Avenue. This depot housed the Q100-105 routes. In 1986, the garage shifted buses with Queens surface as art of a contract. This depot can house about 200 buses.

Steinway Transit History

The Steinway Transit depot, built in 1939, was located at the northwest corner of Steinway Street and 20th Avenue in Astoria, Queens, near the northern terminus of the company's Q101 route. It sat across from a Mercedes-Benz (originally Daimler-Benz) factory, opened in 1890 by Gottlieb Daimler and local businessman William Steinway. It was the successor to the Steinway Railway depot. The depot was relocated to an area around Court Square before MTA Bus Takeover in 2005, prior to the company's takeover by the city.
